Keyless Entry Pad Does Anyone Know How To Reset The Keyless Entry Pad On A 1998 Mercury Mountaineer? HELP! :)?

Does anyone know how to reset the keyless entry pad on a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer? HELP! :)? - keyless entry pad

Hello! I bought a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer today. It is nice (only 92,000 miles on the odometer), but the information provided with the car does not contain information about what the keyless-entry-platform code to the door. We're just wondering, is there a place to be in a position that might be finding it? Or should I take to the dealer and see if they can solve this problem?

Thank you! :)

There are several places where you can find the door code. Look in the rear door of a small sticker with a 5-digit number. It may be on the edge of the rear door or hinges.

If you can not find here you will find a label on the form inserted on the computer "

The merchant can use a scanner, and you can find the code for you, but pay for this service.

Once you know the code works, you can program a code of their choice as well. This is explained on page 53 of the manual.

If you do not have a manual, you can get it here
